You Are In Control of Your Sales Future-- We’re Here to Help
Chances are great that the company you work for will not provide you with all of the training you need--especially sales training.
Most companies spend very little time and energy training their salespeople how to sell. Most do, however, spend a great deal of time and energy training their salespeople on their products and services. Unfortunately, product training isn’t sales training, although many companies treat the two as being the same.
That means you will more than likely have to take responsibility for the vast majority of your sales training. You are responsible for finding, acquiring, learning, implementing, and honing the training that will be the foundation of your career.
The Good News
There is good news, however. All those dollars, all the time, and all the energy you invest in your training is yours and you’ll take it with you everyday for the rest of your life. It doesn’t stay with the company you’re with today when you move your sales skills to another company. It’s yours forever.
So, don’t look at it as you’re “having” to get your own training or that the company you work for today is too “cheap” to pay for training. That’s a self-defeating attitude. Instead, realize that you are preparing yourself for a lifetime of income.
In fact, you’re building your own sales company. In reality you don’t work for the company you currently sell for. You work for yourself--you just happen to only have a single client which is the company you sell for today. Tomorrow you may decide to quit selling for the company you sell for today and take on another client.
Every activity you engage in--prospecting, building relationships with prospects and clients, paying for and taking training, everything--is building your business, not the company you sell for today. If you decide to leave and sell for another client and you’ve done your job well, you’ll take all the training, all the relationships, all the marketing results and everything else with you. They’re yours, not the company you sell for.
Your Biggest Challenge is Where I Can Help
But if you’re like most salespeople, you’re single biggest challenge is finding and connecting with quality prospects and converting them to clients.
That’s where I can help.
Helping your find and connect with prospects in ways they accept and respect and that will allow you to maintain your pricing integrity is what I do.
Unlike some sales trainers who claim to be the world’s greatest guru on anything and everything sales and marketing related, I work in a defined area of your business: helping you become a top producer by helping you find and connect with quality prospects.
How We Can Work Together
There are a number of ways I can help you grow your business:
Free Services: First I can help you with a number of free products that will help you grow your business and get the training you need without investing a cent. Subscribe to my twice monthly newsletter, POWER SELLING. Each issue is packed with two full-length articles with immediately actionable strategies and techniques to help you sell more.
Also, you find dozens of my articles, podcasts, and links to other great sites, all of which will address needs you have.
Books and other Products: And, of course, like other trainers I have books and CD’s that you can purchase to address specific needs such as referral selling, creating a public reputation as an expert, ways to generate business quickly, and more. Books and CD’s give you the opportunity to get top shelf training for just a few dollars. In the great scheme of things, they are one of the best training bargains man has ever invented. Because books and CD’s are produced only once but sold to thousands, you literally get thousands of dollars worth of training for next to nothing.
Seminars and Webinars: Even better than books and CD’s are teleseminars and webinars. For a fraction of the cost of traditional onsite training, teleseminars and webinars give you the same great training directly from the mouth of the trainer but without the full onsite cost, the hassle of getting to the training venue, and the time wasted in travel.
Personal Coaching: By far the most effective training method there is. Personal training, personal motivation, personal help in planning and executing the plan, personal guidance from someone who has done what you’re doing and done it very successfully and knows what to do and how to do it. You simply cannot get better help in getting to your desired destination than by being taken there by someone who knows the way.
And despite the cost, quality coaching more than pays for itself. If coaching is costing you $500 per month but you expand your sales by 3 and each earns a commission of $500, you haven’t paid $500 for coaching, you’ve earned an extra $1,000. Coaching doesn’t cost-- it pays.
